EducationWashington University in St. Louis - BA, Philosophy Neuroscience Psychology
ExperienceI attended Washington University to earn my bachelor's degree in cognitive science. I also attended Columbia University to complete a post-baccalaureate in business. I'm looking forward to Indiana University for my MBA, which I will focus around management in health care and nonprofits. I spent four years with the National Student Leadership Conference as the director of operations. This has given me the opportunity to work at conferences where I present, develop lesson plans, and examine curriculum. I've always loved math and science, and I enjoy helping students understand why these topics are important by showing how abstract concepts we study are used in the real world. I believe building a strong understanding of science and math helps students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will be used outside of the subjects in careers and in life. I can tutor students in algebra, English, business, geometry, pre-calculus, biology, trigonometry, chemistry, physics, reading, writing, and test preparation for the GED, IB and AP exams, ACT, and others. When I have free time, I enjoy reading, and I love sports. I've been tutoring for the New York Yankees for years, and I love professional football. I also enjoy fantasy football. Other interests include dance, yoga, using the beach, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with my dog.
